Creative highlights from the past month
Thank you to all those who reached out to me
If you didn’t— there is still time.
How are you doing this week?
Here are a few highlights from my creative work this past month.
Photos of the Week

Assignment: Showing Motion
As you may know, this year we’ve been busy as a family with a lot of Ultimate Frisbee.
For this shot I wanted to freeze the frame of motion, to show motion.
I also wanted to do it in daylight, to set the scene.
I used my single strobe, a trampoline, a Frisbee, and my daughter.
Assignment: Self-portrait, using light and shadow, showing emotion.
I did a series of self-portraits for this assignment and chose this one.
It has always been hard to show positive emotions, especially in a photo.
This image depicts my joy as a father.
Being a dad is hard and challenging, but it brings me great joy.
I love being a dad to my daughters.
Salute to the Fallen
I was privileged to offer my photography services
to a great cause.
While my focus isn't event photograph—
this was an event I wanted to support however I could.
Last weekend there was a series of events
to support and honor families of fallen heroes.
It was a moving experience.
Note to my future self
To end here's a quote from myself 10 years ago.
It ties in to my late night scroll stopper notes.
The lateness of the hour begs for a return to my bed.
Yet, in this very hour I sit and write.
I write for the slumbering giant, who lost his only giant-sized pencil.
I write for the glorious and magnificent clouds with which he calls home.
And yet I linger without substance.

Love the pic of the people silhouetted.
